Watercolored Florals: Collaboration with Crafty Meraki & Lindy’s Gang

Hi, friends! Today I’m participating in an Instagram Collaboration Hop with Crafty Meraki and Lindy’s Gang. There are prizes from both companies, so be sure to check out the hop (There will be another hop on YouTube, too)!

I’m featuring the new Enchanting Hugs stamp from Crafty Meraki on my card. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with WOW! gold embossing powder.

To color my image, I used the following shades of Lindy’s Magical Shakers: Crumpet Crumbs, Pinkies Up Pink, Pass the Jam Jane, Butter the Toast Blue, Cuppa Tea Teal, and Spill the Tea Teal. Aren’t those names fun?! In my paint palette, I mixed a tiny bit of each color with water and also created some custom colors by mixing different powders together. Once I was finished painting the image and it was dry, I cut it out with the coordinating die.

Using the ink smooshing technique, I created a background for my image. I applied paint to a piece of plastic, “smooshed” it onto a panel of watercolor paper and dried it with my heat tool before repeating the process. I also added splatters of the same paint for interest and dimension. When the panel was dry, I adhered it to a cardbase.

I attached my image and sentiment to my card with foam tape. For more sparkle I scattered pink gems around the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out the hop for a chance to win!
