Hello there! Today I’m sharing a fun, girly birthday card featuring the new Sweet Celebrations Dies. Aren’t the candies so much fun?!

Using the Sweet Celebrations Dies, I diecut the various elements for my cupcake from both colored and glitter cardstock. I blended the cupcake and frosting with coordinating inks to add a bit of dimension and assembled everything with liquid adhesive.

For my background I used the new Fern Lattice Hot Foil Plate, which I foiled with Prism Glimmer Foil. Doesn’t it remind you of confetti being tossed in the air? Next, I blended the panel with the following shades of Distress Oxide: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Dusty Concord mixed with Wilted Violet. After blending, I lightly buffed the panel with a soft cloth to remove excess ink from the foiling and then trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered it to a white card.

I diecut a vellum label with a retired Spellbinders die and attached my cupcake on top with foam tape. I attached the label to my card with more foam tape, which I strategically placed behind the cupcake. Finally, I heat-embossed a sentiment from Enchanting Hugs with WOW! Super Fine Polished Silver Embossing Powder, diecut it with the coordinating die, and popped it up with bits of foam.
