Orange Lilies on Foiled Background

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a card featuring a couple of products from Crafty Meraki’s May release. I seriously can’t get enough of those gorgeous Artisan Flora Lily Dies!

My mother-in-law grows LOTS of lilies and even creates her own varieties by cross-pollinating them (She’s even named some after her grandkids!), so the new Lily Dies are definitely a favorite from the new release. I love how versatile and elegant they are!

To create my flowers, I diecut the blooms from bright yellow cardstock and the buds and foliage from green. I then blended each layer with distres inks. The orange blooms were created with Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire, and I used Gathered Twigs for the tips of the stamen. I applied Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness to the buds and foliage. I assembled the pieces with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin 3D foam squares.

I really love the Fern Lattice Hot Foil Plate for effortless backgrounds. For this card I foiled it with Polished Brass Glimmer Foil onto navy cardstock. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a white card.

For my sentiment I chose to use the Hello Hot Foil Plate and Die Combo. I foiled “hello” with Polished Brass Glimmer Foil and diecut it with the accompanying die. Next, I arranged my floral elements onto my card, attaching them with foam, and popped up my sentiment with dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by!
