Sparkly Layered Butterflies

Sparkly Layered Butterflies

Hello, again! Today I’m sharing a clean and simple card featuring the beautiful Luna Para-Dies from Crafty Meraki. These dies are so detailed that you don’t need much else to create a stunning card.

The Luna Dies have three layers for the butterfly’s wings, but I used only two for my card. I diecut one layer and the body from black cardstock and the top layer from Rainbow Ombre Glitter Paper. I adhered the two layers together with a line of liquid adhesive down the center, bending up the top wings for dimension, and glued the body on top.

To add some interest to the background, I flicked black paint over my card, focusing the splatters in the center. I stamped a sentiment from You Inspire Me with Versamark Black Ink. I thought the font was perfect for those lacy butterflies.

I adhered the butterflies to my card with a thin strip of foam tape down the bodies, again bending up the wings for dimension. I added a row of opals down the center of each butterfly to finish my card (Spoiler alert: These beautiful opals, and others, will be in the Crafty Meraki shop very soon!).
