Shine Bright

Shine Bright

Hi, friends! I’m sharing two cards featuring the Shine Bright collection by Carissa Wiley for Spellbinders. This is such a fun collection!

My first card features the Layered Shine Bright Die and Stencil Bundle. I love the retro vibe of these products!

Using the layered stencils, I blended inks in shades of pink and yellow. I diecut the panel with the Essential Stylish Ovals Dies and also cut mats from white and gold glitter cardstocks with the die set. I layered the white and ink-blended ovals onto the gold one.

I embossed a panel of pink cardstock with the Sun Rays Embossing Folder and trimmed it slightly. After attaching the pink rectangle to a white card, I affixed the layered ovals with foam tape.

I diecut the Shine Bright Dies twice from gold glitter cardstock and stacked them on top of the ink-blended panel. I added two supporting sentiments from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate & Die set. I foiled the sentiments with Champagne Glimmer Foil and popped them up with thin foam. I finished the card with a few, clear sequins.

For my second card, I used the Disco Impressions Press Plate & Die Set along with the Layered Disco Impressions Stencils. This card just screams party, doesn’t it?

Rather than use the BetterPress system, I chose to foil the Disco Impressions Press Plate with Starburst Glimmer Foil. Next, I applied pink, teal, and lavender inks through the Layered Disco Impressions Stencils and then diecut the ball with the coordinating die.

For my background I foiled the Slimline Confetti Background Glimmer Plate with Starburst Glimmer Foil. I blended the panel with the same inks used on the disco ball, along with some dark blue. I created the frame by diecutting white and glitter cardstocks with the Essential Arches Dies. I layered the frames together and backed them with clear acetate.

I adhered my background to a cardbase, placed some glitter and clear confetti on top, and affixed the frame with foam tape. I foiled a sentiment from the More Sentiments Glimmer Plates with Lavender Petal Glimmer Foil and diecut it with the accompanying die. Finally, I attached the disco ball and sentiment with thin foam.
