Amaryllis on Foiled Background

Hello, again! Today I’m sharing an elegant, holiday card featuring Crafty Meraki’s Artisan Lily Dies.

I wanted to take a break from poinsettias and focus on another holiday flower, the amaryllis. To create my amaryllis flowers, I used Crafty Meraki’s Artisan Lily Dies.

With the Artisan Lily Dies, I diecut the large bloom and two of the smaller blooms from white cardstock. Using a photo from Google as a reference, I colored the diecuts with Copics and then assembled each bloom with thin 3D foam squares. I diecut three buds from green cardstock and adhered them to my blooms for stems.

There’s nothing like a foiled background for elegance and drama! For mine I used the Under the Mistletoe Hot Foil Plate and applied Gold Glimmer Foil to dark green cardstock. I created the frame by diecutting metallic cardstock with the middle die from the Frame Worthy Dies. I backed the frame with vellum and adhered it to my background with thin 3D foam tape.

I arranged my flowers on the vellum, using foam squares behind the blooms and liquid adhesive on the ends of the stems. My sentiment is from the Gilded Holiday Expressions Press-Tacular Plate. I foiled it in gold, diecut it with the coordinating die, and attached it with foam. For a finishing touch, I added gold metallic pearls to the vellum.
