Thanks Shaker Card

Wouldn’t this card be great for a pet sitter? It features the new Thanks Stacked Word Die. I couldn’t resist creating a shaker card, especially when I saw the fun Catitude Sequin Mix.

To create that fun, cat-themed paper, I repeatedly stamped the Rectangular Seamless: A Cat’s Dream stamp onto white cardstock. For an ombre effect, I stamped it in varying shades of yellow ink, beginning with the lightest shade at the top. Using the same inks, I ink-blended the edges of the panel to soften the white.

Next, I diecut the paper with the Thanks Stacked Word Die and backed it with clear acetate and a layer of foam. With the panel facedown, I placed some Catitude Sequin Mix onto the acetate and sealed it with a panel of blue cardstock. I adhered the shaker to a cardbase with double-sided adhesive.

There’s a new illustrator working with Picket Fence Studios (You might recognize her style!), and those adorable critters are from a FREE stamp set you can get when you purchase the Happy Paws stamp set (also by the new illustrator). I colored that sweet duo with Copics and fussy-cut them. I popped them up with thin foam and finished with a sentiment from the Happy Paws set.
