Isn’t that squirrel adorable?! I just love his little face popping out of that tree! He’s sure to brighten someone’s day, don’t you think?

I diecut the tree from the kraft cardstock included in the kit and blended the trunk with a couple shades of brown ink to add dimension. I also added splatters of water and watered-down ink to the trunk. I blended the circular, negative diecut with the same brown inks, using a heavier hand, and also added a little black to the edges.

I diecut the elements for the squirrel from white cardstock and colored the individiual pieces with Copics. To create dimension I assembled the squirrel with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin 3D foam squares. To give his eyes some sparkle and dimension, I used the Black DecoGel pen included in the kit.

For my background I trimmed an A2 panel from one of the green cardstocks included in the kit. Using the stencil from the kit, I applied green ink in varying intensity to give the impression of a leafy canopy. After adhering my background to a cardbase, I affixed the tree trunk with thin foam. The tree diecut is perfectly sized for an A2 card.

I tucked in the circular, negative diecut, securing it with liquid adhesive, and attached the squirrel with foam. For my sentiment I stamped a word from the Swanky Sentiments: Salutations set and diecut it with the coordinating dies. I adhered my sentiment with foam to finish my card.
