Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing a card featuring products from Spellbinders. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I couldn’t resist creating a floral love note.

Let’s start with that beautiful background, which I created with the new My Heart Beats for You BetterPress Plate. I chose to ink up the plate with Strawberry BetterPress ink and transfer it to a panel of red cardstock with my BetterPress system. I trimmed down the panel slightly and inked the edges with a darker red ink before adhering the panel to a card.

The plate comes with two sentiments. Using my Glimmer machine, I foiled one of the sentiments onto white cardstock with Gold Glimmer Foil. I diecut the sentiment and gold mat with the Mirrored Arch Labels Dies, stacked the labels together, and affixed them to my card with foam squares.

Those gorgeous flowers are from the Vintage Florals Dies. I diecut the blooms from pink cardstock and inked the outsides of the petals with red ink. I cut the leaves from gree and added a darker green ink for a bit of dimension. I assembled the blooms with thin 3D foam squares and arranged my bouquet onto my card, securing the pieces with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin 3D foam. I used a gold glitter pen on the center of the large bloom and finished with a scattering of gold pearls.

I love the pattern and texture of the pressed, floral background and can’t wait to see how it looks hotfoiled! That’s my favorite aspect of press plates – their versatility.
