Hi, friends, and happy Saturday! Picket Fence Studios has a new release today filled with lots of whimsical, fun products! Per usual, we are having an Instagram Hop with prizes, so be sure to pop over for a chance to win.

I’m featuring the new Layering Flora: Heart of Vines Dies on my project. I decided to go for a distressed, shabby-chic look today. It’s definitely not my norm, but I enjoyed branching out!

I started by diecutting the Heart of Vines Dies multiple times from Bristol Smooth paper. After placing my diecuts onto the 5″x6″ Paper Inking Palette, I applied ink to them with the Bright Rainbow Pint-sized Paper Pouncers. To create that distressed look, I added splatters of water and Opaque White Paper Splatter.

To create the scalloped oval, I used the partial diecutting technique with the smallest, scallop arch from the new Beyond Basics: A2 Scallops, Arches and Window Cover Plate Dies. I applied blue ink to the edges with a Life-Changing Blender Brush. For the pink panel, I blended pink ink through the new Classic Hatch 6×8 Stencil. I added droplets of water and Opaque White Paper Splatter to both pieces. Once they were dry, I adhered my stenciled panel to a top-folding card and attached the oval with foam tape.

I arranged my wreath diecuts onto the oval with liquid adhesive and added Starry Skies gems to the centers of the flowers. I applied Opaque Gold Paper Splatter to the card. I stamped a sentiment from the new Simple Blooming Daisies stamp set, diecut it with the coordinating dies and popped up it with foam. For a final touch, I tied a bit of gold twine around the card front.
