Layout and Card with Spellbinders’ Just Sayin’ Collection

Hi, friends! I was thrilled when Spellbinders asked if I wanted to create with their new Just Sayin’ Collection by Kelly Bangs! I have a scrapbook layout and a card to share featuring products from the collection.

The colors, patterns, and icons in this collection are beautiful and perfect for projects about teens! I chose to create a 12×12 layout about my daughter and her bestie with the Just Sayin’ 12″x12″ Patterned Paper Pack.

I started with a white background and added strips of three of the patterned papers. I tore the edges of each strip for a bit of texture and edginess. I matted my photos with white cardstock and another patterned paper from the pack. I attached the photos to my layout with foam.

To create those beautiful floral clusters, I used the Vivid Blooms Dies, diecutting the elements from colored cardstocks that coordinated with the collection. After assembling the flowers with liquid adhesive, I adhered them with a combination of liquid and dimensional adhesives.

The Just Sayin’ Writable Die Cuts are perfect for journaling! I embellished my journaling with some phrases from the Just Sayin’ Sticker Pack and a cute text bubble from the Chipboard Die Cuts.

My title is from the Just Sayin’ Die Cuts, as are the stack of books and cell phone. I also added another phrase from the Sticker Pack. I finished each embellishment cluster with some gems from my stash.

To showcase more of the gorgeous papers and die cuts in this collection, I decided to create a card. I love that there are two of each die cut in the Die Cuts and Writeable Die Cuts packs: I have plenty for layouts AND cards!

I trimmed two of the 12″x12″ Patterned Papers to A2 size and cut the plaid paper along the diagonal. Using the Eyelet Scallop Border Dies, I created a sweet, scallop border and tucked it under the edge of the plaid paper, trimming away the excess.

For my main sentiment and the embellishments, I used the Just Sayin’ Die Cuts pack. I layered the pieces onto my card with varying heights of foam. The supporting sentiment is from the Ideal Moments BetterPress Plate and Dies and was foiled with Champagne Glimmer Foil.
