Hello there! I know it’s been a bit since I’ve posted, but life happens, am I right?!
Today, I’m sharing a sweet card featuring an adorable, new die set from Spellbinders’ Little Smiles Collection.

How sweet is that little monkey riding in his car?! They’re both from the new Go Kart Go Dies. This die set would make some really cute birthday cards, but I just couldn’t resist making a baby card. I love how it turned out!

I diecut all of the pieces for the monkey and car from colored cardstocks with the Go Kart Go Dies. Before assembling the pieces with liquid adhesive, I sponged on inks in coordinating colors to create a little dimension. After assembling the elements, I added highlights with a white gel pen.

I shopped my stash and found some patterned papers that matched the colors of the car. I diecut the blue strip and yellow plaid with the Romantic Slimline Borders Dies (retired but available on Amazon). I inked up the edges of my papers before adhering them to a white card. To create a focal point for my monkey, I diecut white cardstock and a polka dot paper with the Mirrored Arch Labels Dies (currently on sale!). I layered the arches together and attached them to my card with foam tape before popping up the monkey with thin 3D foam squares.

The diecut sentiment is from the Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiment Dies (also on sale). I diecut it twice from colored cardstock and once from metallic paper and stacked the diecuts. The supporting sentiment is from the Curved Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. I foiled it with Gold Glimmer Foil and popped it up with two layers of foam. I finished the card with a few blue pearls and a tiny gem on the crown.
