Hello there! I’m back with another holiday card featuring a new die set from Spellbinders.

I’m a sucker for all things Santa, so I couldn’t resist the new The Clauses Dies from Spellbinders’ North Pole Friends Collection. Isn’t he cute?! The dies give you options for Santa’s accessories and poses and even allow you to create Mrs. Claus!

Using The Clauses Dies, I diecut the various elements from colored and metallic cardstocks. To most of the diecuts, I blended ink in coordinating colors to create dimension. I assembled Santa with liquid adhesive and added highlights with a white gel pen.

To create a scene for Santa, I used several patterned papers from my stash and the Essential Arches Dies. I used my scissors to freehand the snowy hill from a white arch. After gluing the snow to the background, I popped up Santa with foam squares and added a little Copic marker under his boots to ground him.

I trimmed the snowflake paper to A2 size, inked the edges lightly with gray ink, and attached the panel to a cardbase. I affixed the layered arches to my card with foam. For my sentiment I foiled the Mistletoe Greetings Press Plate with Champagne Glimmer Foil. I diecut the sentiments with the coordinating die, as well as some green cardstock. I stacked the foiled sentiment onto two green banners and adhered the layered piece to my card with foam. I finished with a few clay snowflakes.
