Simon Says Stamp’s 16th STAMPtember: Collaboration with Whimsy Stamps

Hi there! Simon Says Stamp (SSS) is hosting their 16th annual STAMPtember! Today, they are releasing an exclusive stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. This set is only available at SSS and only while supplies last. As Halloween is a big deal for Whimsy Stamps, they naturally created a stamp set for that holiday.

I started by stamping the “boo” image and individual ghost with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copics and then restamped them with Versafine Onyx Black for a crisp, dark image. So as not to have to worry about lining up the stamps with the colored images, I kept the stamps on the lid of my MISTI after stamping with Memento. I diecut all of my images with the coordinating dies.

To create my background, I ink-blended a panel of Bristol Smooth paper with the following Distress Inks: Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner, and Black Soot. I mixed Perfect Pearls in Confetti White with water and flicked it across the panel. Once the panel was dry, I diecut it with Whimsy’s Wavy Pierced Rectangles Dies and adhered it to a white card.

I created those fun spider webs by taping together dies from the Nested Webs Dies and diecutting black cardstock. I adhered the webs to my card with foam tape and attached my sentiments and images with varying thicknesses of foam. Before attaching the spider, I trimmed a strip of black cardstock and glued it to the back of the spider.
