Jack o’Lantern Halloween

Jack o’Lantern Halloween

Hi there! I’m back to share another Halloween card featuring products from Whimsy Stamps and cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse. This card was so much fun to put together, and I love how it turned out!

The inspiration for this card came from the super-fun Jack o’Lanterns Border Die from Whimsy. I cut the die from Rust cardstock, inked up the border with a few shades of distress ink, and backed each jack o’lantern with Sunflower cardstock. I cut apart the border and shaped the edges as necessary in order to stack the pumpkins.

I diecut the grass from Mid Green cardstock with the Grass and Cloud Edger Dies and inked up the bottom edge with distress inks. I cut the bats from Amethyst cardstock with the Bat Reveals Dies and created a highlight with a combination of white pigment ink and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide.

For the moon I diecut a circle from Quartz Stardream paper with the Boho Circles Dies and heat-embossed a sentiment from the Hiss Off set with WOW! Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock to A6 size and blended it with the following distress oxides: Broken China, Uncharted Mariner, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. I flicked water across the panel and blotted it with a paper towel.

I glued the moon to the background and adhered the stacked jacks and grass with foam tape. I affixed the background to an A6 card and attached the bats with thin 3D foam.
