Blissfully Scrappy

Hello there! I’m popping in to share a pair of cards I created with Spellbinders’ new The Wonder of Oz Collection. With the new Wicked for Good movie in theatres, this collection is perfectly timed!

The Wonder of Oz Collection is great for all of the Wizard of Oz or Wicked fans in your life! I used three products from the collection to create these cards, but there are so many more wonderful products available!

My first card features The Wonder of Oz Frame & Tag BetterPress Plate & Die. I went all in with the Oz theme and foiled the plate with Green Glimmer Foil on green cardstock. I foiled the plate a second time on green cardstock with Gold Glimmer Foil and diecut the gold-foiled panel with the tag die in the frame set.

I trimmed the green panel slightly and adhered it to a white card. I popped up the gold-foiled tag with foam tape and added a gold metallic pearl at the top.

To embellish my tag, I diecut some blooms with the retired Vintage Florals Dies. Before assembling the flowers, I blended the petals with a dark red ink to create some dimension and used a gold gel pen on the center of the main bloom.

For my second card, I embossed red cardstock with the Field of Poppies 3D Embossing Folder. I trimmed the panel to A2 size and adhered it to a white card.

Next, I diecut The Wonder of Oz Silhouette Die from black cardstock and foiled a sentiment from the retired Mini Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die set with Gold Glimmer Foil.

I adhered the silhouette to my card with bits of foam tape and trimmed away the excess. I finished with a scattering of gold metallic pearls.
