Hello, world! It’s been a hot minute since my last post, hasn’t it?! Now that the holidays are in my rearview and life has settled down a bit, I’m hoping I’ll have more time for crafting and sharing. Here’s to hoping at any rate!

How adorable it that kitty?!! I couldn’t resist the Congrats Cat Dies by Spellbinders when I saw them. I chose to create a calico kitty as that is the breed we’ve had in our house and based the coloring on our most recent addition. After adding a little ink to the diecuts to create dimension, I assembled my kitty with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin foam squares.

To create the frame for my kitty, I used the Essential Arches Dies. First, I diecut the blue arch with partial diecutting to get it the height I wanted. I then diecut a second arch from white glitter cardstock and cut out the interior with a smaller die from the set. I embossed the blue arch with the Cross My Heart 3D Embossing Folder and lightly ran a white ink pad over the raised design. I adhered the white frame to the blue arch with foam tape and tucked the kitty into the opening.

I trimmed a panel of pink cardstock, adhered it to a white card, and attached my framed kitty on top. My sentiment is from the Merry & Bright Sentiment Strips Press Plate & Die Set. I foiled the sentiment with Rose Gold Hot Foil, diecut it with the coordinating die, and popped it up with a bit of foam. I finished the card with a scattering of clay hearts.
