Scary Ghost

Scary Ghost

Hello there! Today, I have another project to share for Whimsy Stamps Halloweeners Design Team. Whimsy has so many awesome papers that make creating scene cards super quick and easy! I knew I wanted to use the Keyhole and Keys Dies to frame one of them and chose a fun paper from the Haunted Houses pack.

I taped together two of the Keyhole and Keys Dies and diecut them twice from black cardstock. I heat-embossed one of the diecuts with WOW! Crusty Copper Embossing Powder before stacking them for stability. With two other dies from the set, I cut a smaller keyhole and layered it behind the embossed frame.

I stamped the Chippy Paint Background stamp onto a 4″x6″ panel of gray cardstock. I diecut the center of the panel with the Keyhole and Keys Dies and blended the edges of the opening with distress ink. I glued the layered keyholes to the panel, which I attached to the Haunted Houses paper with foam tape, trimming away the excess.

With the Running Scared Dies, I diecut the figure from white and black cardstocks and offset the diecuts to create a highlight. I adhered the figure to my card with thin 3D foam. The ghost is from the Peeking Ghosts Dies. I diecut it from white cardstock, backed it with black cardstock and added shading with Copics. I popped it up onto my card with a couple of layers of foam tape and cut away the excess.

For my sentiment I used the EEK! Word and Shadow Dies. I cut the letters from white and yellow cardstocks and stacked them for dimension. The web paper on the top shadow is from the Hocus Pocus paper pack, and I used lavender glitter cardstock for the second shadow. After layering the diecuts, I attached the sentiment to my card with foam.
