Today, I’m participating in a blog hop to introduce My Pretty Things’ newest release: Blooming Friendships — a collection designed to celebrate community, kindness, and the beauty of handmade expression. There’s something truly special about the way creativity brings people together, and that’s why the My Pretty Things’ tagline is “Crafting Friendships Everyday”. Whether it’s a handmade card or crafty time shared together, the bonds we build through art are some of the most special moments between friends. *Be sure to read to the end for a chance to win one of two prizes!

My first card features several of the new products, most notably the You Made My Day stamp set and the Postage Stamp Die. The images in the stamp set are adorable and sized perfectly for the openings in the Postage Stamp Die.

I began my project by diecutting white cardstock with the Postage Stamp Die. I then stamped images from the You Made My Day stamp set inside the blocks created by the die. While I had out the stamps, I also created masks for each image.

I masked the edges of each block to keep them white and placed my masks over the stamped images. I then blended each block with blue and green inks to create the impression of sky and grass. After removing the masks, I colored the images with Copics, added white highlights, and trimmed apart the blocks.

For my background panel, I applied blue and yellow inks through the Spring Floral Lattice Stencil Set onto a panel of yellow cardstock. I stamped sentiments from the Blooming Friendship stamp set and popped up my postage blocks with foam adhesive. I finished with a scattering of clear confetti.

My second project features the Buzzing By stamp set and the Nouveau Daisy Cover Plate Die. The images in the Buzzing By set pair beautifully with those of the You Made My Day set and also fit inside the blocks of the Postage Stamp Die.

I stamped several images from the Buzzing By stamp set in black ink and colored them with Copics. I cut them out with my Brother ScanNCut (coordinating die sets will be available in the future) and added highlights with a white gel pen.

To create a focal point for my images, I diecut circles from white cardstock and vellum with the Stitched Circle Dies. I blended blue and green inks onto the white circle before layering it onto the vellum circle. I adhered my images with a combination of liquid and foam adhesives.

For my shaker panel, I diecut white glitter paper with the Nouveau Daisy Coverplate Die and backed the panel with clear acetate and strips of foam tape. I placed iridescent sequins onto a white panel and sealed them in place with the diecut panel. Finally, I attached my circles to the shaker and finished with an embossed sentiment from the Hey There Sunshine stamp set.
