Happy Cake Day: Combining Light and Slider Features

Hi there! I’m back to share another card created with supplies from Pear Blossom Press. This time I combined a light with a slider for a doubly-fun, interactive card. If you’d like to see the card in action, pop over to my Instagram account.

For this card I dusted off an older Mama Elephant stamp set called Party Animals I colored those adorable images with Copics and cut them out with my Scan N Cut.

For my background I inked up Pretty Pink Posh’s Birthday Background Stencil with pink ink and added splatters of Perfect Pearls for some sparkle. I repeated the process on a second panel so that the part peeking through the slider track would match. Once the panels were dry, I diecut both with Pretty Pink Posh’s Eyelet Rectangles Dies.

After determining where I wanted my images and light to be, I diecut one of the panels with Lawn Fawn’s Slide on Over Dies to create the slider track. To make the light more pronounced, I also cut the panel with the circle die from Pear Blossom Press’s Stamp and Die Bundle and backed the opening with a piece of colored vellum. I stamped “press here” with the PB Press Stamp.

I secured a One Light to the back of my panel and placed a Snap ‘N Spin disk inside the slider track. I applied a double layer of foam tape to the panel and adhered it to the second panel, which I attached to a white card. Finally, I affixed my images and sentiment and finished with a sprinkling of clear confetti.

Thanks for stopping by!
