Blissfully Scrappy

There are so many fabulous products in this release, and they can be used for all sorts of papercrafts – from cards to scrapbooking and everything in between! I used a bunch of new products on my card, most notably the Chinoiserie Floral suite and the Butterfly 2 – La Mariposa Dies.

After stamping images from the Chinoiserie Floral stamp, I used the Chinoiserie Floral Layered Stencils and various dye inks to color them. The layered stencils make coloring the gorgeous images easy-peasy! I then diecut the images with the coordinating die set.

To create the focal point for my card, I diecut pale pink cardstock with the new Daisy Doily Dies and white cardstock with the Stitched Circle Dies. I arranged my floral images onto the layered circles, adhering them with a combination of liquid adhesive and varying heights of foam squares. The gorgeous Butterfly 2 – La Mariposa Dies is the chef’s kiss! I diecut it from vellum and glitter cardstocks, attached the layers, and popped it up with foam.

For a mixed media-inspired background, I stamped images from the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp set with white pigment ink on black cardstock. After trimming down the panel, I adhered it to a white cardbase and attached my focal point with foam squares. I finished the card with a heat-embossed sentiment from the Chinoiserie Floral stamp (I love it when the coordinating dies cut out the sentiments, too!) and a scattering of Gold Glitter Gems.
