My cards feature the new Cocoa and Cookies stamp set, Gingerbread Joy Patterned Paper, and Holiday Sayings Embossing Folder. How adorable are those cookies?!

For my first card, I focused on that sweet gingerbread mug from the Cocoa and Cookies stamp set. My color inspiration came from that fun gingerbread house patterned paper from the Gingerbread Joy Patterned Paper pack. I colored the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating Cocoa and Cookies Dies. After adding highlights to the images with a white gel pen, I glued the whipped cream and candy cane to the mug.

To create the layers behind the mug, I diecut red cardstock and vellum with the Stitched Oblong Oval Dies and white cardstock with the Scallop Oblong Oval Dies. I embossed the red oval with the new Holiday Sayings Embossing Folder before matting it with the white oval. I attached the white oval to the vellum one with foam adhesive and popped up my mug with foam.

I trimmed the gingerbread house patterned paper to slightly smaller than A2 size, affixed it to a white card, and adhered the vellum oval. I stamped a sentiment from the Cocoa and Cookies set, fussy-cut it, and popped it up with thin foam. For the finishing touch, I added a scattering of clear sequins.

For my second card, I focused on those adorable holiday cookies from the Cocoa and Cookies set. Again, I chose my Copic colors based on the Gingerbread Joy Patterned Paper. I created the “plate” for my cookies by diecutting red cardstock with the new Open Scallops Circles Dies. I cut a vellum circle with the Stitched Circles Dies and layered the red circle on top. I arranged the cookies onto the “plate”, adhering them with thin foam.

For my background I embossed green cardstock with the Holiday Sayings Embossing Folder. The cardstock has a white core, so I lightly sanded the raised phrases and images to reveal the white core – I love the way the sanding made everything pop! After trimming down the panel, I inked the edges with brown ink, matted it with kraft cardstock, which I also inked, and adhered it to a cardbase. I diecut the polka dot paper from the Gingerbread Joy Patterned Paper with the Stitched Arches Dies, inked the edges, and adhered it to my card.

I stamped a sentiment from the Cocoa and Cookies set onto pale green cardstock. The stamp has the phrase stacked, but I used post-it notes to mask the stamp while inking it so that I could stamp the phrase in a line. I trimmed down the strip, bannered the ends, and lightly inked the edges. I popped up the layered circles and sentiment with foam and finished with a scattering of clear sequins.
